I am very, very excited to share that @thenew.institute where I have been a fellow since November 2022, has invited me to be a Programme Chair and I’ve accepted the role.
My objective (both at The New Institute and at large) is to expand and advocate for feminism and especially Black and African diasporic feminisms, so coming up with the programme topic was not too difficult. I immediately knew that I wanted the programme to make an intervention in discussions that are shaping the global order. My programme is titled “Black Feminism and the Polycrisis: Configuring a Novel Solution Space Through Intersectional Methodology” and the call has just launched.
The goal is to bring together a group of feminists to critically, imaginatively, and collaboratively expand Black feminist thought and its impact. It is a programme working with Black feminism but is open to feminist researchers and practitioners of all genders and backgrounds.
So, please apply if this is you! And please spread the word!!
