I was recently featured in Essentials magazine in an article about women whose style reflects who they are.
Here are some photos from the shoot.
How would you describe your style? Who are your favourite African designers? Anything else fashion related come to mind?

Very nice! I like both outfits equally. Did you get to keep the outfits?
Not familiar with many African designers – aside from those you have profiled on your blog. π
My style? Classic. Think of Talbots. Great quality, and works for every occasion and situation. I tend to like black, grey and brown. But, I throw in red, fuschia, bright greens, bright blues, orange, and pure white every now and again.
One of the sixth graders at my school, however, was surprised to see my Kate Spade iPhone case; it’s quite colorful, and remarked that I tend to favor, “drab colors” in response to my dark gray Loft sweater. Kids are so honest, aren’t they? I told her, “I am partial to gray.” π

Thanks! They were mainly my clothes so I did get to keep them π
Didn’t know Talbots but had a quick google and kinda Calvin Klein-y? LOL @ “partial to gray” response.

Keep up the good work and representing.
Regards.

Bimpe my dear, thanks, if I’d only known. I tried to get some stuff by African designers but the timeframe was too short to manage in the end. Next time!

This is great Minna and you look fantastic! Hmmm I don’t know if I have a style but if I have to describe it, I’d say lazy and dresses. π

Re African designers my favourite piece in my entire wardrobe is one of those little silk dresses by Sika. Also quite fond of Maksi now
